Mkono’s renowned Public-Private Partnership practice has seen the Firm involved in several cutting-edge PPP engagements. We advised the Government of Tanzania on legal and regulatory framework reform to support PPPs in Tanzania, by drafting and submitting a report to the Government, which led to the enactment of the Public Private Partnership Act, 2010 and its resulting regulations.
We also advised the governments of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Burundi in connection with the development of the 145 MW Ruzizi III regional hydropower project, as well as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in connection with the identification of viable PPP projects in East Africa.
