Public Private Partnerships of Seychelles

The beginning of the 2010s in Seychelles represented a critical period for the economic development of the country. In a relatively short time period Seychelles has moved through a number of reforms, which has resulted in improved economic forecasts and better relations with major development partners. As part of the first generation of reforms, they focused extensively on improving the business climate and supporting private sector-led growth. To this effect, a number of legislative, regulatory and institutional reforms took place, including the Licensing Amendment Act 2010, which, in part, aimed to simplify licensing procedures; and the Investment Act 2010, which sought to give the Seychelles Investment Bureau better leverage to attract foreign investors and promote public–private partnerships.
